This design is derived from modern and historic agricultural buildings. From a client brief to create a modern house the design takes it's reference from modern farm buildings and the use of local rubble stone reflects the historic buildings of the area. A metal clad cat-slide roof and large south facing glass elevation distinguish this contemporary design.
A sustainable approach to the design includes renewable energy sources with electrovoltaic solar strips printed onto zinc roofing and air sourced heat pump providing carbon neutral heating with the bonus of air conditioning.
The highest levels of insulation in thick external walls and solar controlled south facing glazing makes this a super efficient contemporary design.
